A batman drawing and a rendering study.

I am doing some human anatomy work to get a better understanding of how the body works. So starting with the head, here is a rendering practice of the skull with some muscles tissue and a wee bit of brain cartilage.. had a good time doing this piece, learned some new tricks to speed up my Illustrator drawing skills as well
Another thing I was working on recently is a T-Shirt design for a contest, unfortunately I misread the deadline so I didn’t have enough time to finish it. Here is the drawing anyways, I was going to use this as the basis for the design. One day I might still come back to it and make it into a full out painting…hmmm could be cool

Working on a new series.

Hi, so I decided to remove the process page and just make it into a category instead, I felt like another page was unnecessary. Anyways, almost two months ago I started working on a new series of paintings. The theme is “Endangered Species” and the idea came to me when I was thinking about inspiration and the direction my art is going. I mean I love to just paint my own personal pieces, but I would also like to create work that has more of a meaning to our society as a whole. Because even though the extinction of certain animals might not have a direct impact on us at the moment, down the line it will have a resonating effect on our future generations. People need to become aware of how much of our planet is being wasted.
My goal with this project is to raise awareness about certain animals and generally about the destruction and abuse of their habitats. Also I am going to be donating one third of all my sales from the “Endangered Animals” series to a charitable Canadian wildlife organization. I still need to do more research on the different organizations in Canada. The date of the exhibition will be announced at a later date, once all the details are worked out and I have approximately 10 pieces to show.
In the mean time I am going to be posting some of the pieces that I have in process right now. The paintings are going to be mixed media on canvas, 40×20 inches.

Hey, i’ve been quiet for a little while but things are about to change. First of all I decided to implement a blog format for the news section of the website. Yay for easier updates
News I will also be adding 2 new sections to my website, a “for sale” page which for now will have my original work for sale, the other section will be a “process” page and it will act as my art blog showing my current work and things that inspire me and hopefully you as well
