My name is Tomas Zatrak and I graduated from Sheridan College with a BAA in Illustration, I run this studio out of my home. I am an individual who enjoys partaking in artistic challenges and the resulting process. I feel that this activity allows me to improve and learn about myself.

Born in Slovakia, as a kid I grew up in small towns surrounded by nature and most of my days were spent playing outside, running around in the open fields and climbing trees. Experiences like these have shaped my personality into a very adventurous being. This mentality transfers into my process of art creation. I let things happen on their own accord, and work with what I get, always allowing for new and interesting things to happen in my work. My process is a constantly evolving art, just like my life.

I have a keen eye for design, colour and detail, but above all I am about ideas. My inspiration comes from nature. Beautiful through never-ending variety and complexity, nature perfectly executes the energy of life in a balanced and harmonious flow. To me it is very inspirational to see how everything is held together by this force. Being inspired by such dynamism, I strive to channel this energy through my art.

I strive to express my self in other art forms as well, currently I am also involved in dancing and music. Live to express, not to impress and you will find respect, peace and love.

What I can do for you.

Illustrations & Concepts - Work consists of images created using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and other resources. These pieces of work are created from scratch within the software, with the use of traditional media, and photographic reference and manipulation. A wide range of styles can be achieved depending on the clients needs. Images can range from simple colour studies to give an idea of mood, feeling and atmosphere, to highly rendered promotional material for the purpose of creating consumer interest within a specific audience. Further it can be used for story-boarding, concepts, and art direction to help establish a general idea of the final product and to aid in the creation process.

Web Design - Unique website design for individuals and businesses alike. Websites can be created entirely using (X)HTML/CSS/JAVA, Flash or a combination of both to achieve the clients needs. These web pages are constructed using the most efficient models in order to create a seamless experience with minimal waiting times. Web pages are tailored to clients based on their financial freedom and target audience in order to create a successful product which will yield benefits for the client.

Graphic Design - Artwork for digital and print media. This consists of apparel graphics, album covers, posters, CD designs, graphic user interfaces, logos, business cards, letterheads and information illustration. Artwork is created at a high dpi or in vector form for high quality printing. Bleed and crop marks are set up for press printing and trimming.
